Terms of the Online Document Service
Questions and answers
How soon are my documents ready?
Immediately, as soon as you complete the online interview. A document is not effective until you sign it as the included checklist directs.
Can I make changes?
Yes. For 30 days after preparation you may revise each document. The person for whom a document was prepared cannot be changed.
Does a lawyer review my documents before I receive them?
No. The documents are produced by a system Walter Wm. Hofheinz designed and maintains, from your answers; they are not individually reviewed before release. You may ask, as part of the fee, whether the service fits your situation.
What is the scope of the attorney-client relationship?
It begins when you pay for selected documents and ends when they are delivered to you for printing. It covers preparing those documents from the information you provide. Advice beyond whether the service suits your general situation, and supervising your signing, are separate engagements ($400 each).
What is your refund policy?
No refunds are offered.
What if my situation turns out to be too complex?
Call 214.363.2400. If you later engage Walter Wm. Hofheinz through Hofheinz Heinen PLLC for traditional services, the amount you paid online is credited toward those fees.
How long will my documents stay available online?
They remain available for review after 30 days, but we do not assure availability for any set period. Keep your printed and signed originals safe.
How is my information handled?
It is treated as attorney-client communication. See Privacy & Confidentiality.
